Job Summary:
As a Marines Instructor the individual is responsible for the delivery of infantry minor tactics instruction, tailored to an amphibious environment to the Client as directed
Main Functions/Tasks
This training will include basic and advanced dismounted infantry field skills, small craft handling, navigation, sea survival, marksmanship, mobility operations, the training of section / team leaders and assisting with the training of junior officers in amphibious operations planning. While not exhaustive, the individual will as a minimum be responsible to:
Assist the Marine Training Wing Senior Instructor (SI) on all aspects of infantry minor tactics training in an amphibious environment including the training of section / team leaders and junior officers. Advise the SI and assist him with the planning, development and conduct of all basic and advanced Marine training. Support the conduct of training needs analysis and the development of all Marine basic and advanced training strategies. Assist in the design, development and management of basic and advanced Marine training, section / team leader training and officer planning courses as required by the school training department. Provide SME assistance to the SI and SAT Wing to develop all recon training courses in accordance with the Clients application of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT). Deliver and instruct all aspects of infantry minor tactics, techniques and procedures in an amphibious environment, advanced land and sea navigation (including instruction in the use of GPS), marksmanship, weapon handling (including M16,Minimi LAW,GPMG, MK-19, .50 cal)small craft handling and associated TTP, sea survival, vehicle mobility operations, the military appreciation process and operational planning in an amphibious environment. Act as Officer in Command (OIC) of basic ranges during the conduct of live fire practices. Mentor and develop the Officers and Non Commissioned Officers (NCO’s) in the coordination and delivery of Marine basic and advanced training and provide feedback on their performance and potential to the SI.

Essential
Substantive SNCO, WO or Commissioned Officer, or equivalent responsibility in a security related role Qualified and proficient section / team commander. Qualified Small Craft Handler or equivalent. Certified Instructor qualification (separately or as part of a Promotion Course) Range Safety Supervisor Qualified Range Officer in Charge Qualified
