Duties:
Conduct initial assessment of current intelligence structures, processes, personnel, and resources; further assessment of intelligence missions, operations, and objectives vis-à-vis assets available. Provide recommendations with regard to the integration of the above to facilitate optimal support to the Ministry of Defense and Georgian Armed Forces, and resolution of shortfalls to meet modernization objectives. Conduct personnel and resource asset inventories and provide evaluations and recommendations to meet reform objectives. Insure integration of all strategic, operational, and tactical assets and activities, with renewed emphasis given to support to the battlefield commander; advisory support focuses on the smooth transition of intelligence operations from the strategic to the operational and tactical missions in the event of hostilities. Assess and provide advisory support to the modernization of resource and personnel acquisition procedures, intelligence personnel management, administration, logistics, training and training development, career management, and branch development.
Requirements:
- Individual must be able to travel unassisted to US and foreign locations and able to move, carry, and operate personal computer equipment and related material.- Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal, to include the ability to impart complex concepts in a simple, understandable manner, conduct briefings for senior officers, conduct effective instruction, develop/write concepts, policies, information papers, standard operating procedures and programs of instruction.
- Maturity, patience, the ability to convey complex information is essential as well as the capability to successfully teach and mentor counterparts.
- Applicant selected must be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Experienced intelligence officer of at least LTC (Ret.); COL (Ret.) desired.
- CGSC-level graduation is required with SSC graduation desirable.
- Individual must have repeated intelligence career assignments at both strategic and operational levels.
- Current in operations, doctrine, training and the primary duties described in ‘essential job duties’ above.
- Joint and interagency experience is required in order to advise MOD and Joint Staff counterparts on the synchronization of information exchange between Georgian Ministries and agencies.
