Job Description
This position reports to the Chief Security Officer and is responsible for overseeing the international and executive security services program, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping abreast of and being able to respond to emerging geopolitical or environmental issues that could affect Prudential as an entity with a significant international presence; managing all aspects of the company’s international security management programs and protocols, most notably the International Security Travelers’ Tracking Programs; managing all aspects of the Company’s executive protection program, which includes, but is not limited to, home security, management of fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities:
As the recognized international security subject matter expert, remains current on and anticipates emerging global trends and their potential impact on Prudential and its assets, i.e., people, operations, investments Develops and implements policies affecting executive security and transportation Develops and fosters executive security culture within and outside the workplace and ensures its operationalization Manages executive security and transportation protocols to ensure compliance with Company policies and practices Prior experience assessing security risks/threats, compiling comprehensive and accurate reports and implementing approved mitigation measures Prior international corporate or industrial security, travel and investigative experience Experience working with international law enforcement agencies Participates in senior management briefings before, during and after a significant international event Develops strategic vision for international security and executive security and as needed, leads teams to execute these strategies Collaborates with Crisis Management professionals to maximize safety and security of Prudential assets.
Prior experience working with and navigating in different cultures and countries, and ability to focus on identifying potential threats and security implications required Established professional relationships with local and US-government security professionals, in countries in which Prudential conducts business required Minimum of ten year’s experience in security management required, private sector experience strongly preferred. Proven track record in a leadership role in international environment Proven ability to develop security policies Prior experience managing executive security professionals Successful track record of leading and developing staff Ability to negotiate and influence Strong analytical skills Ability to identify and solve problems Proven track record of dealing effectively with all levels of an organization Current knowledge of financial services industry, a plus Willingness to travel, up to 20 percent of the time Professional certifications, e.g., CFE, CISSP, CPP, a plus
