Description:
Provide “Simulator” instructor/operators for the Maritime and Intermodal Training Department (MITD), of the US Army Transportation School (USATSCH).
Overall, to provide training and instruction utilizing “simulators” for various Maritime functions and cargo handling, subjects, and skills that supports the training program and MOS qualification and enhancement.Requirements:
Personnel shall be physically fit and able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs), long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion.
Must be physically able to present instruction on board a ship and a ship’s engine room; working in crowded spaces climbing on steel ladders and catwalks on board ship.
Be able to fully operate the simulator and conduct all training sessions that the simulator provides for training.
Must be able to teach (train-the-trainer concept) others on how to operate the simulator.
Have a minimum of 6 years experience in the functional areas being instructed
Have at least two years experience as an instructor, preferable in a military setting.
Proficient with MS (Microsoft) office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Possess outstanding communication skills (verbal & nonverbal).
Education:
High school graduate or a GED
Applicant will be subject to Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
