Security / Convoy Escort Team Member – Medic

Job Description
Position Summary
Medic support to principal and security detail members.Position Responsibilities
•Provide first aid response to any casualties during operations
•Have variety of skills to include mobile and static security, navigation signals, VIP protection, evasive driving, mobile vehicle warfare, counter-sniping, surveillance techniques, surveillance detection, hand to hand combat, convoy operations, route reconnaissance, setup of traffic control point, combat medical evacuation and civil disturbance control.
•Perform the day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily brief and detail orders
•Plan, lead, and provide mobile security functions for Personnel, Convoy, Advance, and other security missions throughout Iraq.
•Serve on a security team consisting of Third Country Nationals (TCN) and Local Nationals (LN)
•Assist Team Leader in all aspects of PSD/Convoy security Operations to include mission planning, administrative functions and assist with tactical decision making as required
•Prepare and maintain personnel, property, maintenance, and operational records.
•Arabic language skills are not required, but a working knowledge is beneficial
Essential Skills and Experience
•Must have valid Driver’s License and Passport as a Citizen of the United Kingdom
•Ability to obtain a security clearance – not required to posses but desired
•Must posses one year of medic experience as a Combat Medic.
•Provide documentation of medical certification (license equivalent) to that of an Initial Responder or Emergency Medical Technician.
•Desired Middle East Theatre background or experience in Foreign Internal Defense (FID)
•Minimum of two years previous protective security experience in a hostile environment with demonstrated time conducting both security for Personnel and Convoy
•Must possess very strong interpersonal/communication skills
•Strong working knowledge of protective security / close protection
•Strong working knowledge of VHF, UHF and Satellite communications
•Proficient with Mapping and GPS skills
•Proven ability to work with personnel from diverse cultures and nationalities
•Self-motivated problem-solver with professional demeanor.
•Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail required.
•Dependability and individual decision making skills are a must.
•Must be willing to work in and travel through high threat areas as required.
•Must wear Personal Protective Equipment and travel with PSD/Convoy Security Teams into hostile areas as necessary.
•Must have no felony or domestic violence conviction. Record of recent recurring misdemeanors may adversely impact candidates’ suitability rating.
•Employment with Triple Canopy is contingent upon a favorable background check to include no serious financial problems in the past seven years.
•Perform a variety of other duties as required.Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must be willing to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day.
