Job Description
The Ordnance Manager’s primary duty and responsibility is to provide Ordnance services to include requisition, receipt, handling, storage, packaging, transportation, issue, inventorying, documenting, and security of serviceable ammunition and explosives ammunition stored at the ASP at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ), Africa. Ensures Ordnance operations satisfactorily pass all Explosive Safety Inspection, DoD Explosive Safety Board Inspection, Ammunition Management Accountability Review, Quarterly Inventory Accuracy Officer Inventory Accuracy and Management Review, and Explosive Safety Self-Assessment Review audits and inspections.

SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises a direct staff of 10 ordnance workers.

Required Experience: Ten years specialized ammunition-handling experience preferably in a military environment. Minimum five years of supervisory experience at an ammunition storage point (ASP). Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines related to ammunition. Previous Navy or DoD ordnance experience desirable.
