Education:
Completion of Secondary Education with supplemental training in Police/Military Academy or College is required.
Must have passed the United Nations Security Officer Test (SOT).
Work Experience:
Seven years of experience in all areas of the security operation within the UN Security Service is required.
The areas include investigation, physical security, personal protection, strategic and operational planning, fire prevention and suppression, emergency medical and hazardous material response, video imaging badge systems and methods of instruction or related areas.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in one of the working languages of the UN Secretariat, English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
