Deputy Security Manager , Mexico

Summary
The Deputy Security Manager will report to the Security Manager and assist him with managing the security of all Company assets including people, finished product, warehouses and office locations. This position will be responsible for implementing directed security measures and recommending security processes and techniques that will enhance the overall security posture of the company.

Responsibilities
• Managing the implementation & maintenance of Company security standards within the region and conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards for evaluation of auditing and internal controls.
• Liaising with national and international law enforcement, security and intelligence organizations as well as work with Brand Protection colleagues from other regions.
• Conducting threat assessments and plan and control security countermeasures aimed at reducing risk to Company employees, locations and products, including the storage and transport of finished goods, semi-finished goods, and machinery in the supply chain.
• Conducting and manage investigations into security incidents and provide investigatory support as needed to the businesses, legal and compliance.
• Managing external service providers to undertake investigations, gather intelligence on organized criminals.
• Identifying security best practices and influence continuous process improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports and updates of investigations and summaries of overall activities, successes and goals for local Senior and Corporate Security Management.
• Managing risk/threat assessments and implementation of mitigation measures to ensure employees and assets are protected.
• Facilitating implementation and review/audit of the Corporate Security Compliance Standards within the businesses
• Providing support to the corporate travel security programs
• Liaison with international law enforcement, security and intelligence agencies

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES
• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred
• 5-10 years of management experience in law enforcement/intelligence and or military services.
• 5-10 years of investigative and interviewing experience, a major plus.
• 2-4 years of experience working in a multi-national company’s corporate security department.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint)
