Full Time Night Shift - Based in Dubai, UAE
Our client, a global logistics company who are well-known for providing fast & reliable delivery to countries & territories worldwide, are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Security Specialist. The role is based in Dubai, UAE.
Reporting to the Regional Security Manager for Middle East & Africa, the main objective of the role is to ensure safety and security by efficiently planning, developing and implementing security awareness, loss prevention and contingency programs and conducting investigations.
In order to be considered, one must be able to speak/ read and write Arabic and English and must be willing to do a Full Time Night Shift role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform security surveys, facility and aircraft ramp inspections as required; maintains systems and controls to prevent unauthorized access to company properties ; maintain procedures to ensure integrity to proprietary and other sensitive information
- Liaise with management when necessary to assure security of all people and property in order to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all employees and customers.
- Respond to crisis and emergency situations as required ; maintain crisis management plans for all security-related scenarios
- Co-ordinate the investigation of security matters with various law enforcement agencies at local levels, whilst developing and maintaining liaison with these agencies to ensure prompt response to company’s needs.
- Assist in developing and enhancing current security policies and procedures to meet changing circumstances.
- Advise and assist in determining and actioning current policy and procedures for the protection of customer goods, Corporate assets and information, employee property and the image of the Corporation.
- Conduct investigations into theft, pilferage, acts of vandalism, misconduct and other activities detrimental to the Company, its customers and employees, and to report and recommend on the appropriate course of action to be taken as a result of these investigations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years relevant experience in a Security Management role
- Min. 5 years experience in Law Enforcement or equivalent
- Must have worked in the UAE in a similar role
- Ability to speak, read and write Arabic and English
- Very good investigating skills with experience in dealing with sensitive investigations
- Ability to establish and maintain good relations with local/ relevant authorities and law enforcement agencies
- Strong management and decision-making skills
- Willingness to be on a full time night shift role
