Security Manager , Johannesburg South Africa

Position Description
We are seeking a Security Manager, who will be responsible to create and manage systems that protect the company's assets and provide a safe and secure environment for employees and guests with the emphasis on the main company HQ and branches through South Africa.

Reporting to the Regional Security Director, this position will be based in Johannesburg.

Specific responsibilities will include:
-Ensure that global security policies and procedures are created, monitored, adapted and adhered to with regards to all sites in SA in line with the AIG Security Policy;
-Maintain the local security manual on the AIG Global Security Policy;
-Conduct relevant training and awareness in regards to the AIG Global Security Policy;
-Management of all physical protection areas:
asset protection and loss control;
management of integrated electronic security systems;
access control system, CCTV systems, IDS/Alarms systems including perimeter protection
-In line with CPTED practice, assist facilities department in regards to building design changes and applications including lighting, landscaping, changes to departmental areas in terms of security;
Manage personnel protection programmes including Executive Protection, conducting Executive Security Surveys, managing CPO details for Key Role Players, assisting with HR requests and conducting security briefings for visitors;
-Ensure that information protection policies are implemented including the management of Technical Surveillance Counter - measures;
-Maintain relationships and attend meetings with relevant institutions and law enforcement agencies to ensure Security risks are mitigated;
-Oversee the security vendors who safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors by means of cost effective contract and SLA management;
-Oversee incident response planning and act as the company's incident Commander during Business Continuity and Emergency situations;
-Investigation of security breaches to fulfillment and assisting HR and Legal with disciplinary or criminal matters associated with such breaches;
-Assist the Regional Security Director with conducting physical security surveys at company locations and other locations identified either as key locations in the AIG Global Security Policy/identified by business need and the management or remediation of such identified risks;
Cost effective management of the Security Budget.

Position Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess a relevant Tertiary qualification in Policing, Security, Safety/Military Management.
Be registered with PSIRA;
A CPP will be preferred (PSP qualification will be an advantage);
Have completed 7 - 10 years applicable experience in a security/law enforcement/military environment;
Detailed understanding and experience in security risks and events;
Preference to having security experience in the Financial Services Sector;
