Chief Security Officer (A leading regional firm), Zagreb - Croatia

Reporting to the Board, this role leads a small team and provides co-ordination for others across the business to ensure security across the business. In the medium-term the role may also take responsibility for other regional operations.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for organizing and managing the security of the organisation, its assets, personnel and reputation in a cost-efficient manner, specifically:
· Country Security Governance
· Information Security including IT Security
· Physical Security
· Business Continuity & Crisis Management
· Quality Assurance
· Reporting and Investigations
· Security Risk Management
· Ensuring the performance of the security management team and matrix managed staff, ensuring they have suitable training and familiarity with the business that they support.
· Liaison internally across the business (including with senior management and the Group Chief Security Officer) and externally (with local/regional peers and relevant law enforcement agencies)
· Responsible for dealing with the most sensitive and complex security issues within the organisation.

Candidate Profile
· Fluent spoken and written Croatian and English. Candidates without these language abilities unfortunately cannot be considered.
· Ideally 15 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial security management, law enforcement, military or a related area.
· A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a security-related topic is preferred; alternatively a Bachelor’s degree with subject matter training and practical experience.
· A minimum of 3 years leading a security function
· A minimum of 3 years budgetary responsibility, dealing with internal and external expenditure
· Experience within an international environment is preferred
· Proven experience in managing large and complex organisational units.
· Experience of developing country security procedures and standards.
· Knowledge of local and regional legislation and standards.
· Proven understanding of leadership, accountability, judgment/decision making and good communication skills.
