Security Manager to join VSG to work at a large busy Distribution Centre in Dagenham Essex.
Applicants must hold a valid SIA Licence for this position. You will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the security operation, predominately overseeing the gatehouse function.
Applicants should have a proven security background preferably in distribution or loss prevention environment. Relevant industry experience is essential, as well as being able to demonstrate an understanding of the unique features of the industry.
You will be responsible for developing a strong customer service relationship, site processes and procedures and traing the team in all areas of the operation including but not limited to vehicle and staff searches, gatehouse function, site patrolling and general security duties.
Excellent communication is required with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organisation. Good administative skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to lead and motivate a team is essential to the role.
You will need to have:
• Valid CCTV Licence
• A professional attitude
• Ability to work within a team, as well as on your own
• Attention to detail and a customer- focused approach
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Full 5 year checkable work history is required
