The Role:
The Security Trainer will implement the training programme for RedR South Sudan, designed to improve the competence of relief workers. Responsibilities include conducting field assessments, working with international NGOs to identify training needs, prepare training materials, the delivery training events and the monitoring and evaluation of the training programme. Person Specification:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in field of training preferably in humanitarian, Cluster and safety/security related subjects, including events administration and coordination • Professional experience of at least 2 years related to security, preferably in humanitarian sector; • Experience in working with NGOs, preferably in insecure and changing environment • An understanding of humanitarian security and strategies and issues • Experience in capacity building and excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Solid English language skills, both spoken and written • Willingness and ability to travel within South Sudan • Ability to adapt to different contexts and sensitivity to cultural differences.
Terms:
• Location: Based in Kenya (Nairobi) with regular travel to South Sudan (Juba) • Contract: Fixed term until Feb 2013 • Salary: KES 3,000,000 gross per annum
