Our client, who has a long established setup in Northern Iraq, has an urgent requirement for a former REME/RAF Police/RN experience with vehicle cargo scanning systems, to Project Manage a new system to be deployed and installed in Kurdistan.
The requirement is for two individuals to work back to back with each other, with initial deployment at the end of July 2011.
The successful candidate must have the following background/knowledge:
Understanding of vehicle scanning systems and their installation.
Have worked in a hostile environment (Iraq but Kurdistan preferable).
Project Management (PRINCE2) processes.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Ensuring that the vehicle cargo scanning systems operate to their maximum capability.
2. Managing the image analysts.
3. Managing the maintenance of mechanical and electrical of the scanning systems.
4. Oversee commercial components at the site, i.e. cash collection and dispatch to main office.
Key Deliverables.
5. Provide daily reports on performance of the scanning system.
6. Implement a system that will analysis the scanning data in a methodical manner.
7. Maintain quantities through the scanning systems of potentially 900 vehicles a day.
8. Daily liaison with the local security forces.
Previous Experience.
9. Worked at high vehicle throughput checkpoints.
10. Dealt with mechanical and electrical systems that are similar to vehicle cargo scanning systems.
11. Worked and managed foreign nationals.
Training on the system to be installed will be provided in the UK before any deployment. Duration will be 3 weeks.
Rotations are 6 + 6
Flights back to the UK
Salary $600 per day in country
