Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Focal Point for Security, the incumbent will contribute to the activities undertaken by the Focal Point for Security, including:
1. Provide field safety advice and recommendations concerning the development, implementation and update of the DPKO and Department of Field Support (DFS) field safety management system policy and organizing strategy for field operations;
2. Conduct and document an initial review of current DPKO-DFS field safety management systems to establish the basis for decision-making regarding the implementation of the field safety management system;
3. Organize, develop and coordinate the implementation of the DPKO and DFS field safety management system to: provide field safety objectives; clear responsibilities and accountabilities; compliance with national laws and regulations; hazard prevention; organizational change management; emergency prevention, preparedness and response; performance monitoring, measurement and evaluation; requirements and communication processes for documentation; and, management review.....Read More
