Security Officer - Beirut Lebanon

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Documented equivalent combination of relevant experience and formal education may be considered appropriately.
 Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience with a civilian police force or military police force or other security related experience. Must have previous experience in the safe handling of personal firearms. Professional experience in the custody of  detained persons would be an advantage. Candidates must be mentally and physically fit.

 Languages:  Arabic, English and French are the official languages of the Special Tribunal for
Lebanon. For this post proficiency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of the other
official languages is an asset
 Other: Computer skills, investigative skills, handling of hazardous materials skills will be considered
an asset. Applicants should be between 22 and 40 years of age, exceptions may be considered
when candidates have served with security and safety services at United Nations or other
international organization or in cases where special expertise is required. All duties are performed in
uniform. At times however, the officer may be required to perform duties in civilian clothes. Duties
may require long period of standing, working evenings, overnights and on weekends. The officer is
required to obtain and maintain appropriate host country licenses, including, but not limited to, pistol
and vehicle operator licenses. Officers are also required to meet STL firearms qualification
standards. Applicants must be able to obtain security and medical clearance as a condition of
employment.
