Worldwide Protective Services (WPS) – Irbil & Kabul Afghanistan
Candidates are required to have a minimum of experience performing under a WPS or WPPS II contract.
High Threat is defined as a high potential for and/or a high probability of an attack against the principal with the intent to harm. High Threat Protection Skills are those skills that demonstrate a candidate’s experience or training in the application, participation, knowledge, and understanding of skills or skill sets required to mitigate, eliminate or prevent high threat actions.
Experience and qualifications presented by candidates must indicate the actual timeframe and location where required skills were performed.
Documentation of certification must accompany the resumes to include all applicable additional documentation such as, but not limited to DD-214s, Police Service Records, certifications, etc.
Shirt Leader/Team Leader (SL) - Protective Security Services (PSS) - OCONUS
PSD – High Threat Protection
This position is staffed in accordance with the requirements described below:
1. Manage and direct protective security operations (PRS, ERT/QRF, etc) on a day-to-day basis.
2. The SL shall be designated as a protective security specialist (P).
3. The SL is required to attend the protective security specialist (PSS) training course.
4. The SL must maintain weapons qualifications as outlined in this contract, for the Glock, M4, Shotgun, M240, M249 and M203 and familiarization fire for the AK47.
5. Vetted shift leaders are authorized to permanently fill the Labor Categories of the PSS in case of shortages with the approval from HTP.
6. Directly supervises protective security specialists including members of the ERT(s) / QRF(s).
7. Ensures that all posts and detail positions / labor categories are properly covered and that the detail is operating smoothly in accordance with schedule and preset plans.
8. Ensures that all posts of the ERT(s) / QRF(s) are properly covered and ready to respond.
9. Ensures that the ERT patrols are completed.
10. Directs and controls response actions, if required, through radio communications during motorcades and all ground, air, or water movements.
Must meet all of the below qualifications:
1. U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. clearance.
2. U.S. passport – current for 2 plus years.
3. Five (5) years experience in protective security assignments.
4. Two (2) of these years shall have been in a supervisory or in-charge-capacity.
5. Six (6) months of protective security experience working under the WPPS, WPPS II contract or similar program.
6. The remaining three (3) years of experience can be gained in the employ of any national, State/Provincial, Local or commercial entities providing high threat protective services.
