Location : OCONUS
Responsibilities
The Senior COIN Advisor will provide high-level assessment and advice to the RC team leader and interface with headquarters supported operational elements to assess relative effectiveness by identifying and promulgating the best COIN practices. In addition he/she will promote unity of effort in support of COIN guidance and overall operational intent. He/She will assist headquarters in reviewing performance and effectiveness of activities and conduct periodic campaign field assessments on behalf of regional commands. He/She will also provide advice to the team leader on counterinsurgency matters, planning and assessment to Regional Command headquarters staffs, and instructional support to the Afghanistan Counterinsurgency training center by serving as the senior RC contractor. He/She will also perform other tasks as requested by the RC team leader or commander.
Experience and Education:
Minimum Experience/Qualifications
•Previous operational experience in counterinsurgency campaigns
•15 years work experience in counterinsurgency-related fields
•10 years Special Forces, preferred but not required
•Advanced degree in fields related to Counterinsurgency preferred.
