Job Description
Protection Strategies Inc. is looking for a team of Tactical Operation Specialists for a Department of Energy contract, NNSA (National Nuclear Security Administration). Members of the Tactical Operation Specialists team for this contract will support the production of Country Studies that deal with assigned nations’ border security processes, procedures, and resources.
Requirements
Individuals should have a Special Forces, Ranger, SEAL, or Marine Force Reconnaissance background and have served in such a position for at least 5 years.
Graduate of Ranger School, SF Qualification Course, SEAL or Force Recon qualification training.
Individuals must be able to express themselves effectively verbally and in writing and are literate in Word, Power Point, and other standard Microsoft formats.
Responsibilities
Gathering of information through researching of open source databases and reference materials; use of information provided by PSI’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) Advisory Board; and visiting assigned countries to observe border security operations and receive associated briefings from U.S. mission and host nation security officials.
Using gathered information to conduct analysis of a given nation’s ability to interdict or otherwise defeat trafficking in nuclear materials, large amounts of explosives, and chemical and biological agents associated with Weapons of Mass Destruction, through application of a combination of well-trained, and trustworthy, security forces, effective detection, assessment, and other security systems at barriers and portals; and ability to effectively acquire, process, and use intelligence from all sources in a timely manner.
Expression of results of analysis and assisting in development of recommendations that will improve assigned countries’ border security as input to deliverable reports and briefings.
Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree desired, but not mandatory.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a leader of a unit employing special operations tactics, or as an instructor teaching such skills.
Experience in Department of Energy security work desired, but not mandatory.
Experience overseas in working with military and/or other security forces of host nation and US.
Travel
Travel for this contract is estimated at six trips a year to a designated work location in the US, and then overseas. Time overseas on each of such trips will be two to three weeks in duration.
