Position Summary
The Security Manager is responsible for overall security of the project. They will provide oversight and liability protection for the project to include writing policies and procedures. They will also interact face to face with the client and need to be a qualified PSD Team Leader.
Position Responsibilities
• Writing policies and procedures, as well as client directed reports.
• Manage assigned personnel and the daily operations of the project.
• Forecasting personnel, equipment and weapons needs to complete daily tasking.
• Establish, monitor and revise the project budget per company policies and standards.
• Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• May be given additional responsibilities, tasks and deliverables per client request.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Minimum of six years in a security related field, three of which in a supervisory role. Military experience of E6 or above.
• Must have experience in Afghanistan (Kabul preferred). Commercial experience preferred.
• Must have experience in managing and training local national teams.
• Some understanding of US Government contracting processes and protocols.
• Must have an Honorable discharge from the military if applicable.
• Must be able to maintain weapons qualifications as required per contract.
• Must hold a Secret Clearance.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and Tourist Passport.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a strong initiative.
• Must be capable of legally owning a firearm.
• Must have no felony or domestic violence convictions. Record of recent recurring misdemeanors may adversely impact candidate’s suitability rating.
• Employment with Triple Canopy is contingent upon a favorable background check to include no serious financial problems in the past seven years.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be prepared to live and work in an austere environment. Must be willing to work seven days a week, 12 hours a day.
