Job Location: Dubai preferred with flexibility / International
Job Type: Full Time
Direct Line Manager: Chief Executive Officer
Next Level Manager: Founder
Manages: Protective services delivery team and global vendor network.
Location of Position: Dubai preferred. Some flexibility for the right candidate, with regular UAE presence and international travel required.
The Role
The Head of Protective Services owns the journey management, executive protection, and crisis response service lines end to end. This is a lead-and-deliver role: you will own client relationships, work alongside the GSOC and the wider delivery team, manage a global vendor network, and be the senior practitioner clients turn to when judgement matters.
You will be the face of the organization for our protective services clients, and the operational lead during live client tasks, crisis response operations, and regional escalations across the markets we operate in.
This role is one of the appointments anchoring organization’s next phase of growth.
What You’ll Own
Client Delivery and Growth
Own a portfolio of journey management, executive protection, and crisis response mandates.
Act as the senior client-facing lead: briefings, reviews, quoting, escalations.
Support new business development and account expansion alongside the CEO and commercial team.
Operational Delivery:
Own end-to-end delivery of tasks, from scoping through to invoicing.
Set and maintain SOPs, briefings, and quality control across all engagements.
Lead organization's response posture during live client crisis events and crisis response operations.
Maintain operational tempo across the GSOC, wider delivery team, and global vendor network.
Vendor Network:
Maintain a global pool of vetted security consultants and vendors.
Own vendor due diligence, contracting, and service quality management.
Practice and Representation:
Represent organization externally at industry events, client forums, and in written thought leadership.
Contribute to pricing, margin discipline, and product evolution.
Maintain alignment with ISO 9001, 22301, 27001, 31030, and GDPR requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
Track record of leading live operations, including in high threat environments
Demonstrable experience managing teams of security professionals, not just individual contributor work
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills: confident briefing a board, chairing a client review, presenting at an industry event, and writing clearly under pressure
Available and willing to travel internationally on reasonable notice
Resident in or prepared to be resident in the UAE
Strongly Preferred
Military, government, or law enforcement background
Vendor and contract management experience: negotiating, contracting, and managing service quality
Close Protection qualified
Experience working within or alongside GSOC or 24/7 monitoring operations
Professional network within the international security and risk community
Exposure to the MENA, or other complex operating environments
Effective use of AI in day-to-day work
Red Flags
Title without substance: senior labels but limited recent hands-on delivery
Cannot present confidently to senior clients
No direct Gulf, Africa, Eurasia, or APAC experience in the last two years
Pure in-house career with no client-facing experience
Needs heavy structure, and a team around them to operate effectively
What “Good” Looks Like in Year One
At the end of the first 12 months, we will know this hire has worked when:
Clients are happy. Existing protective services accounts have renewed and expanded. New client feedback is consistently strong.
The team is delivering. GSOC and protective services tasks executed to standard, on time, at healthy margins.
The business is growing. Direct contribution to new business wins through network, client expansion, or senior-level credibility in pursuits.
The practice is stronger. SOPs, vendor management, and GSOC workflows are documented, consistent, and applied across engagements.
The role holder is trusted. The CEO can hand over a live situation and know it will be handled to standard.
Package Summary
To be confirmed based on candidate location and circumstances.
