Role Description
This full-time, on-site Security Operations Officer role is located in Basra. The primary responsibilities include overseeing daily security operations, coordinating with security teams, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring on-site security protocols are implemented effectively. The role requires monitoring potential security threats, managing emergency response plans, and maintaining regular communication with both clients and internal teams to uphold safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
As the SOO, you will:
• Report administratively to the Security Services Coordinator
• Report operationally to the Company Representative
• Task, track, and monitor Personal Security Teams (PSTs)
• Coordinate Local Guard Force (LGF) emergency responses
• Prepare timely incident reporting (verbal & written)
• Maintain accurate operational records and logs
• Conduct briefings/debriefings for PST and LGF teams
• Support other operational duties as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• Strong experience in security operations, facilities, or logistics
• A track record managing guards and local staff professionally
• Familiarity with armory control, fleet checks, and reporting tools
• Excellent organizational skills with comfort running logs/trackers
• Clear communication skills and confidence liaising with leadership
• Prior experience in Iraq or similar high risk environments (strong plus)
