As part of a recruitment, AMARANTE International is looking for a Protection Coordinator in Ukraine, start January 2026.

RoleUnder the direction of the senior security coordinator, the Security Coordinator coordinates day-to-day security activities and ensures implementation of security measures for the Client in Ukraine.

Hierarchical Reporting –Senior Protection Coordinator
Dotted-Line Reporting – Amarante Project Management
HR / Administrative Reporting – Amarante Middle East


Key Responsabilities

1) PROVISION OF PROTECTION COORDINATION SERVICES
Coordinate security and safety measures for the Client staff physically present and visits Ukraine
Liaise with security counterparts and local authorities
Update Country Briefs for business travellers and External Office staff
Draft and Implement Security Plans and Procedures, Evacuation Plans and SOPs for External Office and visiting staff
Provide security briefing to all CLIENT staff arriving to and regular security briefings for staff posted in Ukraine

2) PRODUCTION OF PROTECTION SITUATION REPORTS, PROTECTION ALERTS AND RISK ASSESSMENTSDraft periodical reports in relation to Security, Safety, Crises regarding Ukraine
Monitor permanently the situation on the ground and generate alerts in relation to Security, Safety, Crises regarding Ukraine; ·
Draft Security and Safety Risk Assessments, regarding Client procedures including its staff, premises, business activities and events in Ukraine;
Proactively monitor all security and/or safety related developments relevant to the CLIENT;
Proactively gather all security and/or safety related information relevant to the CLIENT; ·
Update Security and Safety Risk Assessments, if and when needed.

3) PROTECTION EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT (if available)
Apply and maintain an inventory of all existing protection equipment including satellite phones, radios, and other equipment;
Carry out regular functionality tests of the equipment; ·
Manage documentation of handing over and receiving of equipment; ·
Provide instruction on usage of equipment, including handing over of manual.


4) OPERATIONAL SECURITY MANAGEMENT & FIELD SUPPORT
Tactical Risk Analysis and Evaluation and daily risk monitoring / analysis / evaluation (itineraries, specific events etc.); establishment of a security information network among fellow security managers and local / international security forces, UN personnel, NGOs, especially at tactical level
Propose and set up appropriate security, incident management and emergency measures (including drafting extraction and evacuation procedures / plans)
Coordinate and manage daily movements: evaluate risks, plan movements, coordinate movements and possible protection means, follow-up / monitor movements
Act as unarmed close protection officer, if needed
Act as close protection driver, if needed
Inform and provide briefings to Client personnel
Ensure the proper set up, implementation of and compliance with security procedures and instructions / guidelines
Manage relationships with external actors (security providers, national and international security forces, local/regional/national authorities etc.)

5) INCIDENT & CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Manage incidents at a tactical level
Implement incident and emergency plans
Provide support in case of crisis
Share warden and alerting duties with the Senior Protection Coordinator
Report to Client and Amarante management

6) COORDINATION & MISSIONS IN UKRAINE
Monitor security assets
Manage the Close Protection team: prepare working schedules, follow the movements and advise on security measures
Perform site surveys and reconnaissance missions for the Client missions all around in Ukraine
Accompany client on assignments throughout Ukraine


Work Scheme
Back-to-back rotations: 8/10 weeks in Ukraine and 8/10 weeks out.
On-call duty.
Rotation planning made in coordination with the second back-to-back Protection Coordinator and the Senior Protection Coordinator.
Back-to-back
8/10 weeks on, 8/10 weeks off, liable to be slightly modified

Requirements
12+ years of security experience
Driving licence Category C
Proven ability to drive armored vehicles (certificate is a plus)
International or national Close Protection experience (certificate is a plus)
Medical training (certificate)
Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian is a plus
