About the Opportunity
The Global Safety & Security Training Manager will play a critical role in strengthening Relief International’s ability to operate safely and effectively in complex and high-risk environments.
This role leads the development and implementation of RI’s global safety and security training framework, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and context-appropriate training for staff and partners. The postholder will combine strategic leadership with hands-on training delivery, while also building internal trainer capacity across countries of operation.
The role includes deployment in support of country teams, including surge and incident response, and requires a high degree of professionalism, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.

Your Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Design
Lead the development of a global safety and security training strategy aligned with sector best practice.
Design modular, scalable training packages adaptable to diverse operational contexts, including high-risk environments.
Develop training for in-person and online delivery, ensuring accessibility and audience-appropriate content.
Capacity Building & Quality Assurance
Design modular, scalable training packages adaptable to diverse operational contexts, including high-risk environments.

Build sustainable internal training capacity through Train-the-Trainer approaches.
Ensure all training materials are supported by lesson plans, facilitator guides, and up-to-date reference materials.
Maintain strong quality assurance processes, including feedback loops and alignment with recognized standards.
Deployment & Operational

Significant experience in safety and security risk management in complex, high-risk humanitarian contexts.
Proven expertise in designing and delivering adult learning, including face-to-face and remote training.
Strong experience in crisis and critical incident management.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams.
Essential RequirementsAdvanced degree or equivalent professional experience.
Substantial progressive experience in security and access management within humanitarian or INGO settings.
Certified training qualification in adult learning.
Relevant certifications in HEAT, emergency first aid / trauma care, and security risk management.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
DesirableAdvanced certification in Security Risk Management or related disciplines.
Knowledge of Arabic and/or French.
Proven expertise in designing and delivering adult learning, including face-to-face and remote training.
