The Warehouse Foreman will be based at one of the three Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position will oversee the warehouse operation, ensure efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols while supervising staff and coordinating shipments and deliveries. This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.


DUTIES:
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
Establish goals and performance metrics to assess the performance of the team.
Provide daily work assignments and supervises a team of warehousemen and supply clerks in support of the project.
Oversee daily activities in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping goods to ensure an efficient operation
Provide solution-based feedback when necessary to facilitate the processing of the customer’s requests.
Monitor inventory levels, conduct physical counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock records.
Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse staff based on workload and priorities, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity within the warehouse.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to warehouse operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Prepare and submit performance reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement and operational success.
Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse or remote storage areas.
Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring that loads are balanced and secure before moving.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Perform additional duties and projects assigned.

Requird:
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
Three (3) to five (5) years’ progressive experience working in a high-volume warehouse environment.
Experience with supply chain management (SCM) systems particularly in relation to accurate inventory management.
Experience and knowledge of materials-accountability, loss prevention and logistical scheduling.
Experience working independently with various functions and disciplines of supply chain and operations.
Experience with analysis and research using the MS Office Suite of programs.
Handling of U.S. Government property procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of customer service.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision with a strong focus on procedural compliance and customer service.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Strong understanding how inventory affects company contractual obligations.
Ability to operate a forklift safely.

Education: 
A high school diploma or GED. Successful completion of a two or four-year curriculum from an accredited college or university leading to an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in supply-chain or logistics management is preferred.

Passport, Licenses and Certifications:

Security Vetting: Already possess a Local DOS issued security clearance or be able to obtain a favorable a Local DOS issued security clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.

Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

DESIRED:
Previous out of home country experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus.
Experience working with Amentum.

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:
This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
