Description
The Watchkeeper plays a critical role in coordinating daily mission planning, resource allocation, and client service delivery. This position supports the Security Operations Manager and the wider security team in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring accurate journey management, and delivering high-quality services to diplomatic and contractor clients.

Role Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintain and regularly update the daily mission forecast, and security risk assessments to align with the Client’s International Communications Network (ICN) appointment schedules.
Allocate resources and coordinate with the security team to ensure mission readiness.
Ensure journey management forms and operational documentation are accurate, current, and compliant.
Monitor team movements using the NOMAD system.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients (including diplomats), internal teams, and contractors.
Support the Security Operations Manager with scheduling, document control, and resource planning.
Assist the Security Operations Manager in the regular review of the operations room Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and plans.
Requirements


Role Requirements

Only FVEY National Candidates (UK, CAN, AUS, NZ, USA) will be considered for this role.The Watchkeeper must have previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than five (5) years with an excellent record of conduct. Must not have a criminal record and must not have been dishonourably discharged from service or convicted under the Defence Force Disciplinary Act (1982) (or equivalent) or terminated from employment.
At least two (2) years’ experience operating in high-risk environments in an operations room capacity

Confident radio voice procedure

Experience in scheduling, document management, and operations room coordination.
Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic, high-performing team.

Desirable skills also include:
Previous experience working in a diplomatic environment
Previous in-country experience in a similar capacity and a working knowledge of Arabic (Iraqi dialect).
