Position Overview:
The EOD Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of explosive ordinance (EO) and improvised explosive device (IED) operations. This includes ensuring team readiness, operational effectiveness, adherence to safety protocols, and successful execution of render-safe and disposal procedures in high-threat environments.

Position Overview:
The EOD Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of explosive ordinance (EO) and improvised explosive device (IED) operations. This includes ensuring team readiness, operational effectiveness, adherence to safety protocols, and successful execution of render-safe and disposal procedures in high-threat environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead, coordinate, and oversee all EOD operations, ensuring swift, effective, and professional response to explosive hazards.
Develop, implement, and continually refine EOD procedures for the identification, evaluation, render-safe, and disposal of UXO and IEDs.
Plan and conduct regular drills, training exercises, and full-scale simulations to assess team readiness, individual performance, and operational response capability.
Maintain a constant state of operational readiness for all EOD personnel, including equipment status, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
Oversee EOD team staffing, scheduling, mission planning, and shift deployments; deliver detailed briefings and debriefings before and after each operation or exercise.
Coordinate directly with security forces, intelligence agencies, medical response teams, and senior base leadership during both drills and real-world incidents.
Provide comprehensive after-action reviews (AARs), incident reports, and continuous improvement documentation to support EOD management and contract compliance.
Ensure that all EOD operations comply with local laws, base-specific rules of engagement (ROE), and host nation regulations.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) on EOD operations, providing guidance on training, doctrine, and procedural alignment.
Manage and maintain all EOD equipment, including specialized tools, vehicles, protective gear, and communications systems—ensuring accountability, maintenance, and readiness.
Mentor, train, and evaluate EOD technicians, cultivating technical expertise, discipline, and a safety-first operational culture.
Required Qualifications:
All candidates must:
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be a U.S. citizen.
Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract.
Meet all standards as required by the contract.
Have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
Must possess military EOD certification (e.g., U.S. Army EOD, U.S. Navy EOD, U.S. Air Force EOD) or equivalent recognized international EOD qualification.
Must possess a minimum of 7–10 years of operational experience as a certified EOD Technician, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing EOD teams in a high-threat or combat zone environment.
Proven proficiency in the identification, render-safe procedures, and disposal of various types of ordnance, including conventional, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats.
Strong familiarity with international EOD best practices, incident command systems, and security operations in conflict zones.
Extensive experience with EOD reconnaissance, site exploitation, and post-blast analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to explosive handling and disposal, with a track record of enforcing strict adherence.
All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and physical examination, drug screen, and psychological examination. Additionally, all candidates will be required to complete a paid pre-deployment training course.
Work Environment and Location:
The position is located in an austere environment. Furnished housing will be provided. Travel to and from the Work Location will be provided. Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
