At Eni, we are looking for a Security Expert within Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. in Aksai, Kazakhstan. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating Security Operations, providing essential support to the Security Manager to safeguard KPO employees, intellectual property and other assets. The role involves contributing to the development and continual refinement of the department’s organisational structure in collaboration with the Security Manager, while also enhancing budgeting and business planning capabilities in line with KPO’s strategic objectives. Additionally, you will oversee and align the activities of security contractors, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and the highest standards of performance.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
Strictly adhere to and work in accordance with the provisions of the RoK Law "On Security Activities", other applicable RoK legislation and KPO security rules and instructions.
Take appropriate action to detect and prevent threats to Company operations and personnel.
Facilitate liaison between the Security Department and KPO Senior Management on security-related matters.
Ensure the confidentiality of internal Company procedures and control systems to maintain consistency in requirements.
Develop dedicated security procedures, policies and guidelines.
Provide suggestions for improving the activities of security contractors.
Provide information, assessments, and reports as required for business continuity and contingency planning in the event of an emergency.
Regularly update and maintain the Risk Register and the Security Threat Conditions Management Plan.
Assist the Security Manager in the development of the security budget.
In collaboration with the Security Manager, identify and address potential deficiencies and gaps in existing security arrangements.
Advise the Security Manager on areas for improvement and optimisation, with clear recommendations on how to achieve the desired outcomes efficiently.
Develop and implement the Security Plan and strategy, including clear guidelines for the future development of the KPO Security Department, with the ultimate goal of aligning with the highest international standards.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with KPO departments and the Security Sub-Committee to implement advanced Western security techniques and foster collaboration.
Liaise with law enforcement authorities in Aksai and Uralsk as directed by the Security Manager.
Liaise with the security departments of other oil and gas companies in Kazakhstan to share information on the national and regional security situation, particularly in WKO, within the scope of responsibility.

Skills and experience required:
Higher education (university degree or higher) in a relevant speciality.
Extensive work experience in security-related roles, including security management or advisory experience within the corporate sector.
Knowledge of RoK laws, regulatory acts, provisions, instructions and other documents governing security activities.
Understanding of civil, labour, financial, administrative and criminal law.
Familiarity with international security standards used by operating companies.
Awareness of international security legislation.
Understanding of the organisational structure of a company.
General knowledge of labour management practices.
Familiarity with internal labour policies.
Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) rules and regulations.
Experience with the registration and preparation of legal documentation using modern information technologies.
Proficiency in security systems, including access control, CCTV and ID systems.
Strong communication skills in English, including business-style English. Ability to prepare and deliver high-level reports, both written and verbal.
Completion of international security courses, with sports training and proficiency in special self-defence techniques.
Highly motivated, with the ability to plan and organise work and related activities to meet targets. Strong sense of responsibility.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A team player with a proactive work style.
Meticulous, eager to learn, and focused on achieving results.
