Overview
Security Management Resources® is seeking candidates for a security and protection leadership role with our Fortune 500 client. This is a prime opportunity for a senior practitioner to advance their career by joining a prestigious global manufacturer. This position will provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of professionals chartered with enterprise-wide protection services. Headquartered in the Midwest United States, the successful candidate will regularly travel globally, sometimes on short notice. Responsibilities
Manage a department of professional-level security practitioners. Develop and leverage diverse third-party risk intelligence tools and platforms to gather, assess, and pinpoint global risks that can potentially affect the safety and security of all personnel.Initiate crisis management and business continuity strategies.Identify and remediate physical security vulnerabilities by conducting evaluations, surveys, and advance work. Create a culture of risk awareness and avoidance through the delivery of training programs and sessions.Collaborate with senior leaders and other key internal and external stakeholders to develop and ensure protection standards. Direct travel safety programs associated with executive service, including facilitation of assistance via contracted services. Recommend protection strategies and services for executives and provide residential safety measures and training programs. Establish and maintain global professional networks with senior law enforcement officials, international partners, including security, intelligence agencies, and private sector collaborators.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Competencies

An academic degree in a relevant field with a commitment to professional development for direct reports, others, and yourself. Previous counterterrorism experience within a federal law enforcement agency is preferred. Substantial experience directing people and programs within a large, geographically diverse organization, preferably within the manufacturing sector.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and foster trust, respect, and dependability across diverse audiences. Critical thinking skills and the ability to investigate and accurately interpret complex situations. Unwavering ethical standards and integrity with the ability to obtain a US Federal Government security clearance.Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are a plus. The ability to travel globally, sometimes on short notice.
