General context of the project

The International Aid of the Luxembourg Red Cross (AICRL) asbl works mainly in humanitarian housing in Africa. It is particularly present in the Sahel and more precisely in Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Chad and recently Benin. This area is facing a severe humanitarian crisis exacerbated by persistent insecurity. Armed conflict and inter-communal violence have led to massive displacement of populations, creating urgent needs for food, clean water, health care and shelter.
