The Personal Security Detail (PSD) Protection Officer (PO) is responsible for safeguarding designated contract personnel, U.S. Government (USG) officials, and others as specified by the Program Manager and the Director of Security, AFAB. The PO will adhere to established PSD Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with government regulations and international standards (ISO 18788). Additionally, the PO will serve as the First Responder, providing essential medical support—particularly first-line trauma care—to the Principals and Team Members until they can be safely evacuated to a nearby medical facility. The PO will actively support and uphold the Company's stated vision, mission, and values.


Job Responsibilities:
Perform daily protective security functions as outlined in Sallyport Mobile Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with ISO18788 standards.
Stabilize injured individuals and assess medical priorities as situations arise; provide management with advice regarding health, safety, and environmental risks related to the Personal Security Detail (PSD).
Act as a liaison between the PSD and other medical components within Sallyport Global Services (SGS) and the Security Operations Center (SOC).
Respond to disaster situations as needed.
Manage, inspect, and replenish medical equipment as necessary.
Be qualified or certified as a Medical First Responder, or possess training equivalent to FPOS-3, as you will be primarily responsible for providing medical support, including first-line trauma assistance.
Stay updated on the responsibilities of the PSD Personal Protection Officer (PPO), enabling the Protection Officer (PO) to perform their duties on short notice when required.
Coordinate medical evacuations (medevacs) from any worksite or route during movement in the event of an incident.
Carry and operate weapons as specified in Sallyport Mobile Security SOPs or as directed by the Personal Protection Officer (PPO).
Assist with daily movements, planning, and briefings.
Support the Personal Protection Officer (PPO) in preparing training schedules and briefing new team members.
Ensure that all vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and in proper working order.
Oversee the status and maintenance of the team's vehicles (dispatch and services) and equipment.
Stay informed about SGS policies and procedures.
Safeguard and maintain all weapons, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and sensitive items under your control, according to SGS policies and procedures.
Promptly report significant incidents to the PSD Manager or Deputy PSD Manager.
Maintain a high level of Operational Security (OPSEC) standards while on duty and during leave.
Be responsible for after-hours emergencies at your allocated client Point of Delivery (POD) and per PSD deployment.
Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
Valid home of record (HOR) Driver’s License.
Three (3) years of previous experience working in Law Enforcement or the Military (All Law Enforcement/military discharges must have been under honorable conditions).
Three (3) years of experience working in hostile, post-conflict environments in protective security services for public, private entities, or military/police.
Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing. Must be able to communicate effectively with VIPs, clients, customers, and other Sallyport personnel, possibly during emergencies.
Able to produce clear and concise written and/or verbal reports and briefings for the Security Management.
Must have previous training and experience utilizing issued firearms in a professional capacity.
Must be familiar with Sallyport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Special Security Instructions (SSI).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS
Possess knowledge of principles and practices of security operations in the developing world.
Skilled in observing situations and decision-making.
Skilled in dealing courteously with Principals and others encountered during duty.
Pass a detailed medical evaluation and physical fitness test.
Communicate effectively and concisely verbally and in writing.
Operate vehicles and equipment, including nighttime operation with vision or corrected vision.
Operate independently in remote and dangerous locations without guaranteed communications and immediate external support.
Qualify and remain current in weapons typically carried by military and/or law enforcement officers. (i.e., semi-automatic pistols and Rifles).
Work well in teams and in a collaborative environment.
Climb, crawl, crouch, bend, stand for long periods, reach above shoulder level, extend arms at awkward angles, lift, and carry objects.
Remain alert for shifts of twelve (12) consecutive hours or as required.
