We Are Hiring: Experienced Garage Manager – Iraq
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Garage Manager to lead the maintenance and repair operations for our large fleet of over 200 armored vehicles in Iraq. This role requires an expert in Toyota Land Cruiser (200 and 300 series) and Toyota Coaster Buses, with a strong background in supply chain management and workshop operations.
This is a hands-on leadership position, and we are looking for someone who can efficiently manage a busy workshop, oversee maintenance schedules, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure maximum fleet availability. Arabic-speaking candidates will have a strong advantage.
Job Responsibilities
As the Garage Manager, you will be responsible for:
Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs:
• Overseeing all aspects of servicing and repairs for Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and 300 series, as well as Toyota Coaster Buses.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in armored and standard vehicles.
• Implementing preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
• Conducting engine overhauls, transmission repairs, suspension work, braking systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations and best practices for armored vehicle servicing.
• Managing critical repairs, including differential rebuilds, fuel system maintenance, turbocharger inspections, and ECU programming for modern Toyota models.
Workshop Management:
• Leading a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff to efficiently service and repair the fleet.
• Managing the workflow of repairs, prioritising urgent issues while keeping up with routine maintenance schedules.
• Ensuring strict safety and quality control measures in all repair work.
• Keeping detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and vehicle service histories.
Supply Chain & Spare Parts Management:
• Managing the procurement, inventory, and logistics of spare parts and consumables.
• Sourcing genuine Toyota OEM parts, ensuring quality and compatibility with armored modifications.
• Maintaining stock levels of critical components (e.g., filters, brakes, alternators, batteries).
• Liaising with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure a steady flow of parts to minimise vehicle downtime.
Fleet Efficiency & Reporting:
• Monitoring fleet availability and uptime, ensuring vehicles are operational for mission-critical operations.
• Conducting technical inspections and pre/post-deployment vehicle checks.
• Generating regular reports on maintenance costs, vehicle performance, and workshop efficiency.
