Security Advisor
Helios Towers is a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company, having established one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa. It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in 8 markets in Africa and Oman in the Middle East.
Overview:
To ensure the Physical security of our towers is maintained at high levels through supporting our partners in terms of skills, knowledge and Solutions.
Role Responsibilities
As a Security Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Mentor, support and conduct knowledge transfer with the Security Manager. Develop and track a security transition program for the transition to full accountability of the Security Manager within the DRC OpCo. Develop the security contracts to ensure responsibility is clear and there are no accountability gaps across the services provided by all partners on site (maintenance, refueling & build. partners). Establish and align KPI’s and SLA performance metrics for DRC security contracts. Review capability of the Security Partners (SPs) contracted to deliver these services for DRC to ensure they are meeting DRC stated requirements. Build the security function for the DRC OpCo. Develop and mentor the security management team to effectively manage DRC SPs. Provide commercial and contract management support to ensure performance is managed effectively. Optimise the framework for Security incident reporting, escalation and review to make sure any theft or security incidents have the appropriate response. Support in the monthly risk reviews across the OpCo security functions. Identify opportunities for improvement and initiating Business Excellence projects to drive performance. Support Group Head of Security & SHEQ teams and any external sources of information to develop and maintain a DRC Site Security Risk Register that will feed into the Group Security Risk Register and be communicated to key stakeholders to determine any changes in the DRC country threat levels.
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
At least ten (10) years, working in security risk management with experience of operating in the DRC or similar Africa emerging market. Previous senior security risk management experience. Experience working in a large organization/public listed organization.
