Role Purpose:
The guard commander will be required to act as the functional link between the day-to-day local national guard force and the SSM. He will ensure that the communication of operational, administrative and welfare matters are passed to the SSM in a timely and professional manner. The guard commander will further ensure that operations and training minimum standards are maintained and take an active role in administrative oversight of the IN workforce. The guard commander will take an active role in implementing project SOP's and ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained across the entire work force. He will lead by example demonstrating high levels of leadership, command and control, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and tasks:
Work as part of a static security team ensuring BP ROO HQ integrity
Supervise all TCN and IN security teams in day to day routine required in securing access control and man guarding procedures on BP ROO HQ
Supervise and provide armed response to perimeter breaches as per CRROO Standing Operating Procedures
Maintain and implement company standards in regard to TCN & IN static guard according to CR SOP's.
Report all incidents or security issues through the chain of command Supervise & oversee searching persons and vehicles
Responsible for the security of all weapons and equipment individually issued
Use issued weapon Systems to a safe and effective standard in line with Control Risks Training Policy and Standards
Understand contract badging system and authorisations
Assist SACP expat commander in all area's relating to the security and daily routine of BP ROO HQ.
Carry out any reasonable requests required as directed by the SSM
Ensure that the QRF team can deploy within 15 minutes' notice
Will be located at the Southern Access Control Point
Shall provide operational reactive support to COMPANY, APT and sites
Maintain constant communications with the SCCC Respond to emergency calls and tasks as required

Requirements:
Must be deployed in ROO, Basra to be considered. 
The GC must have completed 5 years military or police service
Must have a minimum of 2 years Iraq experience with an MOI registered PSC ideally has proven experience in the management of guard force personnel
Attendance of an internationally regarded military Non-Commissioned Officer course, such as the British Army Section Commanders or Platoon Sergeants Battle Course, or similar organizational command and leadership course (or higher)
