About the role
As the Regional Security Manager (EMEA Region), you will have responsible for the day-to-day administrative supervision of the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC).
Responsibilities will include;
Managerial
Provide functional management to the EMEA GSOC in line with business objectives. Supervise and administer operational and intelligence team colleagues and take responsibility for monitoring individual performance.
Maintain operational resourcing for the EMEA region and guarantee resources to deliver best-in-class crisis, intelligence and security risk management services. Oversee rota, leave and overtime requests.
Support Healix leadership in creating a motivational and productive working environment. Foster a spirit of teamwork and commitment. Share experience, knowledge and expertise through close cooperation and efficient communication with colleagues.
Actively contribute to the development of Healix’s business strategy for the Risk & Resilience department. Identify technical processes and service improvements that enhance pre-existing procedures and allow the platform to streamline and become more productive without compromising on service quality.
Security Operations
Provide day-to-day expertise to enhance security assessment and assistance services. Proactively oversee more complex cases in support of the front line team. Provide operational guidance during security escalations and ensure strict adherence to escalation protocol and SOPs.
Perform the role of operational lead as part of an Incident Management Team (IMT) during escalated situations, evacuations and security operations. Work outside of regular hours, until the standing down of the IMT.
Ensure the EMEA team maintains a network of high-quality operational security and risk management assets in the region. Develop an asset network. Ensure that information is adequately captured and assets are compliant with Healix business requirements. Maintain strong relationships with assets and enhance Healix’s reputation.
Conduct travel to any country in support of operational or business development requirements, including providing on the ground assistance during incidents or crises
Act as operational ‘on call’ to ensure effective support to escalations in line with rota requirements.
Ensure the EMEA operations platform remains a proactive operational unit. Support operational planning and other ‘under the bonnet’ capacity-building tools, including CapStats, TOGA, TIGA, ConOps etc.
Risk Intelligence
Contribute regional and subject matter expertise to risk intelligence output, where required.
Collaborate with the intelligence team to ensure high quality and consistent intelligence output. Author content to support risk intelligence output, where required.
Risk & Resilience Consultancy
Deliver security and risk management consultancy tasks when required. Such tasks may include (but not limited to) security awareness trainings, evacuation planning, crisis management, security reviews & audits.
Business Development
Support efforts to drive revenue for the department in the EMEA region. Perform the role of a trusted advisor to enhance Healix’s consultative sales strategy; provide subject matter expertise in support of tenders and client-facing engagements. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team where required.
Establish long-term and mutually trusting relationships with key accounts and existing client stakeholders in the EMEA region. Participate in client meetings and conduct tours of the operational platform where required. Proactively engage with clients to improve service quality. Identify and capitalise on value-add opportunities.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Healix value proposition and effectively communicate that to customers. Embrace the company ethos and become an ambassador for the Healix approach.
Required Skills and Experience
Recognised qualification and proven expertise in the field of political, operational and security risk management.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the challenges of operating in the EMEA region.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
Good writing ability and critical thinking skills.
Credibility in client-facing situations. Experience and understanding of the consultative sales approach.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge of a third language (French and Portuguese) preferable.
At least five years proven experience in security and / or risk management: military, government, police, NGOs, corporate security.
Experience of risk management in the commercial space; security planning, logistics, client facing roles and crisis management.
Practical experience of management or relevant training and/or qualifications.
Relevant academic degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience of operating in an international context (postings, exchanges or employment within a foreign multinational company).
Experience of providing operational lead for emergency security operational coordination.
Experience of high or extreme risk travel - preferable
Travel/Hours
Travel dependent on business needs.
Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, in support of operations and business development.
Ability to deploy overseas at short notice for business development, consultancy and for security operations.
