Background
The project focuses on third-party monitoring (TPM) of explosive remnants of war clearance activities in Ukraine as part of humanitarian mine action efforts. The objective of the project is to improve the accountability, transparency and quality control of the demining process while addressing implementation challenges. The project presents case studies and recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the TPM program.

The primary role of the Security & Logistics Officer (SLO) is to oversee safety, security, and logistics matters about the project. This includes monitoring local security conditions, making recommendations to the Country Security Advisor (CSA), and supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the field team.

This includes monitoring local security conditions, making recommendations to the Country Security Advisor (CSA), and supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the field team.
Security:
Implement and uphold the highest security standards and regional contingency plans to ensure staff safety.
Monitor regional security, conduct risk assessments, enforce security procedures, and offer timely advice to staff and management.
Maintain contacts with relevant authorities and compile regional threat analyses, incident reports, and routine security updates.
Coordinate with the Country Security Advisor regarding security incidents, threats, or operational issues.
Assist in implementing safety and security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) outlined by the CSA.
Ensure compliance with iMMAP Inc.’s global operating principles and risk management policies.
Conduct security induction briefs for new staff and visitors when necessary.
Perform and submit Site and Route Risk Assessments for iMMAP Inc. staff’s regular locations, including field sites.
Logistics:
Monitor regional security, conduct risk assessments, enforce security procedures, and offer timely advice to staff and management.
Maintain contacts with relevant authorities and compile regional threat analyses, incident reports, and routine security updates.
Coordinate with the Country Security Advisor regarding security incidents, threats, or operational issues.
Assist in implementing safety and security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) outlined by the CSA.
Ensure compliance with iMMAP Inc.’s global operating principles and risk management policies.
Conduct security induction briefs for new staff and visitors when necessary.
Perform and submit Site and Route Risk Assessments for iMMAP Inc. staff’s regular locations, including field sites.
Logistics:
Organize logistics support for the field team.
Ensure logistic support is cost-effective, efficient, and transparent.
Oversee and ensure efficient fleet management, driver schedules, vehicle usage reports, and vehicle maintenance.
Liaise with the Operations\Logistics team in the Kyiv office on all logistics issues.
Ensure that the field office premises are well-maintained.
Handle incoming and outgoing shipments of goods and equipment.
Ensure the assets held by the field team are stored safely, correctly, and securely depending upon the item classification.
Keep track of the consumption of utilities and provide monthly bills to Finance.
Configure and set up IT equipment and provide technical assistance if needed.
Carry out any other duties, as assigned by the supervisor, to support the day-to-day logistic and administrative operations in the field office.
Requirements:
Ensure logistic support is cost-effective, efficient, and transparent.

Requirements:
Substantial practical experience in complex and high-risk environments.
Previous experience conducting route and field assessments.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of safety and security sector and logistics duties. Military or police background, NGO security officer, or experience with Private Security Company preferred.
Previous experience in international non-governmental organizations is desirable.
Ability to communicate effectively with international and national personnel.
Proficiency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian languages.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
Capacity to work well in a small team, under pressure, prioritize tasks, deliver high-quality work within deadlines, and meet team objectives.
Valid driving license category B or higher with at least 1 year of driving experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 platform, especially Outlook and Excel.
