Looking for U.S. citizens with analytical research and analysis skills, and deep interest in developing as Middle East Specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Hoplite Group team in our flagship Publicly Available Information project focusing on Iraq and Syria public sentiments and media analysis and join our team in our Middle-East Fusion Cell Headquarters. The position is responsible for the daily correlation of information, triangulation of reporting, and analytical products and work with a world class local team of Iraqi and Syrian (or local nationals from other Middle-East countries) analysts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) years of combined experience to include PAI research or intelligence analysis covering the Middle-East, particularly Iraq or Syria.
Demonstrated experience and exposure to the Middle East, with an understanding of the Iraqi and/or Syrian security, military, social and political environments.
Experience conducting media analysis and/or social media analysis is required.
Excellent writing and communications skills, able to produce finalized written products and deliverables, ready to send to clients.
Experience with open geospatial apps is a plus (e.g. Google Earth, Arc GIS, etc.).
High-level proficiency (to allow speed when producing deliverables) using Microsoft Office tools; specifically, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and project management to be able to leverage a team of analysts and build reports on time while meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Works well with teams or independently, with minimal oversight, able to provide thorough and completed products. Feels comfortable working with local nationals and managing local national teams of analysts.
Recent travels: Must have worked /traveled in the last few years to the Middle East.
DESIRED QUALITIES
Proficiency in Arabic, with particular emphasis to candidates who have pursued learning/immersion programs in the Middle East.
DoD Security Clearance: While desired up front, candidates must be willing to complete a security clearance background check as part of the career progression in this post, within three months of start of employment.
COMPENSATION
Three tiers available for this position: Analyst I (junior entry level) / Analyst II (intermediate) / Analyst III (senior). Compensation commensurate with experience
