Security Technician, Lead Iraq

**This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**Under supervision of the Security Supervisor, the Security Technician Lead is responsible for providing support to security team, must be able to work complex special security related problems and issues, while interacting regularly with program management and the related client program office(s). Will help to determine impact of new security regulations, requirements, and policy and implement as necessary, judgment and initiative are required in performing security functions.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Review contract documents to determine applicable security requirements.
Develop and implement a comprehensive employee security education training program to include but not limited to initial and refresher training
Prepare and maintain company procedures for addressing OPSEC and NISPOM issues.
Prepare and maintain policy and procedures for handling, storing, and keeping of required records, and for granting personnel and visitors' access to restricted areas, records and materials.
Prepare assessments involving possible NISPOM security violations and initiates measures to correct security deficiencies.
Review Security related reports, conduct audits within company departments to ensure compliance with client policies and procedures.
In country management of all Vectrus personnel security clearances, classified information issues and delivers instructional presentations/training for the program
Establish programs for OPSEC and LOGCAP Vmanagement
Setup and continued activity of the security clearance support office in Afghanistan for the program;
Establish, conduct and monitor mandatory LGCAP V and industrial security training requirements, refresher security clearance training etc.
Research, compile and ensure observance of and support for the procedures and policies of affiliated government agencies
Maintains a list of a personnel and their level of clearance
Assist and monitor employees with requests for personnel security clearances (SF-86) and follow up periodic reinvestigations
Provides badging and clearance assistance as required by Program Management
Perform other related duties and activities as designated by Program Management
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a Driver’s License.
Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally.
Experience:Two (2) years of security administration
One year leadership experience preferred
Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Supervisory Responsibilities:Lead of a team of Security Technicians.

Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload
Ability to work under pressure
Thorough understanding of personal computer systems and networks as well as the associated policies and procedures is also required.
Solid working knowledge of business software such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required
Excellent customer service skills, with strong written and verbal communications Technically competent; ability to solve unfamiliar problems 7. Ability to prioritize tasks; maintain workflow; and meet deadlines and goals
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with minimal supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, and Customers
Must be able to work complex special security related problems and issues, while interacting regularly with program management and the related client program office(s).
Judgment and initiative are required in performing security functions
Working Conditions:Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
