Sunstates Security has an immediate opening for a talented and motivated Director of Security. The Director of Security will partner with the Director of Facilities to oversee the entire security operation of the site and consistently ensure the highest level of security is being provided. The Director of Security is the primary point of contact and liaison between the client and the company, and as such, will provide leadership to employees and develop and maintain strong relationships with the on-sight strategic partners, law enforcement, and others.

This position offers an annual salary of $115,000 - PLUS - full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, 401 K plan with company match, generous PTO allowance, tuition assistance, and more.

The Director of Security will assist in the administration of the region by:

Training, developing, and motivating supervisory staff to effectively oversee all day-to-day operations of the site security personnel.
Overseeing the employee onboarding process including new hire interviewing, selection of candidates, training, and licensure and new hire paperwork.
Training subordinate supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, and company policies and enforcing consistency in policy practice.
Coordinating operational functions including payroll and billing, accounts receivable aging, staffing, scheduling, and personnel issues.
Carrying out site assist visits and audits in accordance with the Quality Assurance program.
Coordinating with the Regional Manager and Senior Vice President of Operations to establish regional goals and objectives and communicate these with branch staff.
Working with sales and marketing to identify and develop new business opportunities.
The Director of Security will have practical oral and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in understandable terms to all levels and will continually update and create post orders and security policies & procedures as needed.
Ensuring that all procedures provide coherent, efficient, and complete solutions for all security needs while staying abreast of all security incidents and ensuring proper documentation and escalation measures are followed.
Supporting staff and reviewing and evaluating staff activities and performance in order to establish work priorities and schedules; will provide staff training and professional development, conduct formal performance evaluations and monitor accomplishments.

The Requirements For The Security Director Include

CPP Certification
Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university is preferred
3 or more years of related management and leadership in the security industry, law enforcement or military preferred
Winteam and/or payroll experience preferred
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills
Computer proficiency with MS Office products
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Flexibility to be on call as needed during all shifts
May perform other duties as assigned by Management and in coordination with the Regional Manager

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
