We are recruiting for the position of Intelligence Analyst – Sub-Saharan Africa.
This exciting full-time position will involve leading on political, security and economic risk analyses on the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region for organization’s diverse client base.
Applicants should have a demonstrable track record of working within the region; strong knowledge of political, commercial, economic and security issues affecting the region and their wider geopolitical impacts.
Applicants should have previous experience in risk consultancy or a relevant professional history, a Masters’ degree with a strong regional focus and fluency in at least one regional language.
Applicants can be based anywhere, and applications from the SSA region are strongly encouraged.

Excellent knowledge of political, economic and security issues in the Sub-Saharan Africa region with expertise in West Africa and East Africa.
A Masters’ degree or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. international relations, international security, political science, area studies).
Proficiency in at least one regional language. Good working knowledge of French is preferred. Other regional languages are also beneficial.
At least two years of relevant experience in intelligence, analysis or related fields.
Excellent English language skills and ability to write and present in a clear and concise manner.
Able to manage high workloads to tight deadlines times in a discreet and efficient manner.
Able to support recruitment cycles and manage researchers and interns.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Writing internal and client report briefings on the kidnap and ransom risk environment.

Leading intelligence and analysis for the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Internal company reports and briefings.
Participation in creation and development of new intelligence and projects.
Training and managing interns.
