Your main objective:
As a member of the Country Management Team, you are the focal point for the coordination of the mission on security and safety aspects. You will be in charge of the preparation, prevention and management of security on the mission and will support the safety managers of each base, as well as the mobile teams and the RRM coordinator. To do this, it will be imperative to quickly acquire a good knowledge of the context in order to anticipate and make decisions, under the authority of the Country Director. As security needs are strongly linked to logistical needs, a strong interaction will have to be established with the Logistics Coordinator in order to have a common implementation schedule. Another challenge is to strengthen a strong network of partnership and communication with counterparts and persons of interest. Finally, you will also be responsible for developing the skills of your team and your assistant to ensure their autonomy in their position.
Your responsibilities are divided into the following 5 main areas:
- Ensure the monitoring of the context and the analysis of security risks - Design and implement ACF's humanitarian access strategy - Define and implement ACF's management system and the definition of security tools
- Strengthen ACF's
security network with the various actors present in CAR
- Train and sensitize ACF staff on the safe environment, procedures and safety rules
YOUR PROFILE
You have at least 3 years in an international NGO, in a position related to staff and organisational security, risk assessment, security management and security awareness.
You hold a Master 2 degree in disciplines such as humanitarian project management, international relations or security management.
You have excellent writing, contextual and security analysis skills.
You have proven skills in formalizing documents (analyses, briefing notes, security plans, etc.).
You are recognized for your managerial and interpersonal skills, and you have experience in unstable security contexts.
You know how to be autonomous, manage priorities and you have a good resistance to stress.
You are proficient in written and spoken French.
ACF experience will be considered an asset.
You are able to spend 40% to 50% of your time traveling and meeting officials as well as weapon bearers.
YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
