POSITION SUMMARY:
Amentum is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve as Border Operation Advisors on the EXBS Land Border Security Advisory Team and join our dynamic team based in Chisinau, Moldova on a TDY basis with travel to project locations in Moldova and other regional areas. Advisors will deploy to project areas to train, mentor, and advise leadership personnel engaged in border security operations, serve as an advocate for Euro-Atlantic land border security “best operational practices” and “best equipment recommendations”. Advisors will conduct training on border security topics based on equipment needs and identified broader national security gaps.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Border Operation Advisors train and mentor border security forces from Moldova and Ukraine to prevent and respond to proliferation concerns in the country and region.
Assist and advise with planning, deployment, and monitoring of micro-camera and electro-optical surveillance systems.
Support the Senior Advisor on the Land Border Security Advisory Team to accomplish the training requirements outlined in the country’s Interagency Agreement (IAA).
Train and mentor border security forces from Moldova and Ukraine to plan, analyze, and respond to border security challenges and threats to internal security.
Promote the continuing development of border security forces professional standards, to include firearms proficiency, emergency casualty care protocols, off-road vehicle operations, and small unit border patrol activities.
Provide comprehensive reports and practical recommendations to the Senior Advisor regarding border security forces professional progress and development.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Higher education
10+ Professional patrol experience with a Customs Border Protection Agency
International law enforcement development and deployment experience
Experience working with formal operations and intelligence cycles
Formal training and work experience with NATO standardized mission orders and planning processesDemonstrated cross-cultural communications and adaptive leadership skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Good interpersonal and time management skills


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Moldova, Ukrainian and/or Russian or former Soviet Affairs
Working knowledge of Romanian, Ukrainian and/or Russian languages
Federal Law Enforcement Firearms or Drivers Training Instructor Certification
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Certification
Formal training and operational experience in Mobile Field Force (MFF) Operations, non-lethal crowd control techniques, and specialty impact weapons and munitions.
U.S. Border Patrol SRT, BORTAC, BORSTAR and/or equivalent experience
Experience in operating covert camera and electro-optical surveillance systems
