About the job
Control Risks will hire two security supervisors, one based in Chihuahua and the other in Sonora, to act as one of our client's field security supervisors. They will oversee the ongoing construction of a natural gas pipeline in the northern region of the country. The main objective of this role is to coordinate ground security team operations and gather local intelligence.

Coordinate activities and share intelligence with the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor's security teams to ensure a joint and effective response to any incident or threat.
Ensure security protocols are being followed according to the Clients guidelines and authorities' requirements by all assets (including deployed security teams). As well as manage immediate action response protocols - in concert with EPC support as required.
Monitoring transits of projects assets on hostile highways
Immediately report any security incident or suspected incident to the Client's Security Manager, ensuring effective communication and prompt response.
Gather intelligence and support investigation of any incident that may occur, in coordination with the Client's Security Manager and the EPC security team, to mitigate the risk of it happening.
Support landowner negotiation campaign
Act as a liaison with local authorities (Federal agencies and State authorities too) to advise on activities in specific areas.
Conduct security briefings to the Client and EPC contractor personnel who are traveling to project areas. The briefings should cover the appropriate reactions to any organized crime interactions or landowner hostility. The aim is to ensure that all workers are well-prepared and aware of the necessary security measures or other tasks that may arise from the Client's operations.

Requirements
Required

Please do not submit an application if your experience is in industrial safety HSE (we will not consider applications of this nature)
At least 2+ years of experience in security in the private sector
Experience providing security in hostile environments and in the gas pipeline industry or similar projects
Experience working in the northern region of Mexico (preferably in Sonora and/or Chihuahua states)
Experience working in private security
Essential special knowledge of personal security, liaison with authorities, and security personnel management.
Intermediate knowledge of English.
Effective communication skills to report incidents or suspicious situations clearly and promptly to management and other stakeholders.
Ability to gather data from a variety of sources, including documents, people, and physical evidence.

Desirable

Experience in the armed forces or police forces.
Experience in supervising ground-security-related projects
