The Opportunity
To assist the SSC and Area management in reducing the risks posed to the programme personnel and assets of all national, international SC staff through ensuring the systematic application of safety and security management systems, policies and procedures in all of SCI operational areas. Conduct security assessments; provide/support training and orientation for staff, main incident reports and security updates, provide direct safety and security management support in emergency response staff and respond to related inquiries. Support on the capability of networking with other humanitarian NGOs as well as field community leaders to facilitate and secure SCI's field missions and operations.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Bachelor's degree in Security / Risk Management
Recognised Teaching / Training Qualification
3 years' Experience in INGO security or similar position with a strong understand of Security and Risk Management processes.
Proven skills in concise and succinct report-writing. Ability to prioritise security related tasks and complete reports to deadlines
Strong understanding of current security context with the ability to formulate and communicate analysis of a changing security environment in a neutral and impartial manner.
Understanding of current humanitarian safety and security practices and issues affecting aid work globally.
Proven experience implementing and sustaining compliance with a security management system, preferably in a conflict environment.
Fluent in Turkish and English
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, establish professional networks, and coordinate with local and country authorities, donors, International Organisations and local NGOs.
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a highly stressful and challenging environment.
Proven knowledge of MS office applications and IT literacy and capacity to learn and use other packages.
Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children. In particular, a good understanding of the Save the Children mandates and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin all aspects of the job.

Position holder will be based in Gaziantep, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
