Responsibilities:
Monitor incident and threat reporting, and appropriately call for deployment of the appropriate response team(s) (e.g., Quick Response Force, Emergency Response Team, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, etc.).
Operate communications equipment – monitor and relay radio traffic, effectively controlling the network. Communicate with entities outside of the network with a variety of voice and text-based communications technology including local cell phone, regional and global satellite phone, tactical military radio, and UHF/VHF radio.
Prepare weekly and/or daily reports, as requested by supervisory chain-of-command.
Maintain a watch activity record.
Required Qualifications:
All candidates must:Be at least 21 years of age.
Be a U.S. citizen.
Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract.
Meet all standards as required by the contract.
Have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
Obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance (current, active clearance preferred).
Preferred experience as a WPSIII/WPSII Operations Security Specialist (OSS)
Must possess one of the following:A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in any of the following:Tactical Operations Center
Intelligence analysis
Watch center
Command post
Police/Fire/Rescue dispatch (not 911)
Marine Security Guard
Military Police / Desk Sergeant
A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Shift Leader, Complex Supervisor, or Site Supervisor on WPS III or any of its predecessor contracts within the area of responsibility.
All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical and physical examination, drug screen, and psychological examination. Additionally, all candidates will be required to complete a paid pre-deployment training course.
Work Environment and Location:
The position is located in Baghdad, Iraq. Furnished housing will be provided. Travel to and from the Work Location will be provided.
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
