In coordination with the Security Policy and Training Coordiantion Officer, map out security training plans for Safe and Secured Approaches in Field Environment (SSAFE), Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK), Women Security Awareness Training (WSAT) and Training Development Certification (TDC).
Monitor progress against strategic objectives, programme benchmarks, and provide advice with respect to improvements and corrections; oversee the establishment of a common Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework that incorporates regular reporting requirements and impact evaluation strategies, in close coordination with M&E Officer of the CO.
Ensure that the objectives set in programme documents and budgets, M&E frameworks and work plans are compliant with IOM’s organizational policies and donor’s contractual requirements, interests and expectations.
Design and develop/contextualize related security training programs (outsourced or in-house) in coordination with the Security Policy and Training Coordination Officer to ensure that modules are in line with The United Nations Security Management System (UNSMS) methodology for course design.
Identify the priorities during the implementation of the Security training project and contribute to the development of the new security training projects and activities based on solid results framework and in response to emerging trends and priorities, as well as donor interests and requirements, in close coordination with the CoM, Regional Office (RO), relevant Units at Headquarters (HQ), particularly OSS.
Ensure that the key programmatic directions are shared with international stakeholders, including donors, to maximize impact, minimize overlapping and stimulate funds mobilization for the new projects.
Coordinate and monitor logistics for the Security training project, both outsourced and in-house.
Market available security training to United Nations (UN) and Non-GovernmentalOrganisation (NGO) personnel and provide necessary information about sessions.
Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.

Experience

Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.
Experience in coordinating and liaising with various UN agencies and organizations on security training matters is an advantage;
