International Guard Supervisor (IGS) - West Africa

Rotation: 6 Weeks on, 6 Weeks off, subject to operational requirements

Role Requirements
Must be citizen of a current EU members state (British are not precluded)
Previous demonstrable experience and thorough knowledge of the security environment of Nigeria with recent experience in the country
Proof of progressive management experience including in international environments (not including military service) over a minimum of 8 years
Minimum 5 years as an influential entity (snr spvr/manager)– working on a project with a minimum of a guard force of not less than 20 posts
Not less than 8 years military/police/or government service membership
Operational experience in hostile environments
Experience of non-military liaison roles between commercial organizations, local stakeholders, and government officials
Experience of working with international organizations
Proven high level of client handling skills
Training delivery experience to local national workforce
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the operational and tactical requirements for mobile armed security operations and static guard operations including journey management in hostile environments
Knowledge and experience of HR processes for management of a large diverse team
Possess tact, sound judgement and ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing to both the client and the GW management structure
Fluent written and spoken English
Previous experience of working in a diplomatic /embassy environment
Full Driving License from country of origin
Possess relevant authority to work and reside in country, in relation to visas
Strong communications and IT skills, including use of all Microsoft programs; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

The Below Specifics Are Not Exhaustive

Under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, build and maintain the operational platform to deliver GW’s security services to EU Delegation and the wider region if required. The IGS –EU DEL is responsible for the leadership, supervision and operational delivery of all staff deployed on the contract. The IGS may deploy globally if required and agreed prior to deployment.


Operational

Manage and Implement controls for all security guard procedures;
Organize appropriate and continuous coaching and training;
Oversees the proper functioning and operation of various electronic security installations and equipment in protected premises, such as (but not limited to) CCTV system, Public Address (PA) system, Intruder Alarm System (IAS), Fire Alarm and Detection System, transmitters and panic button systems, radio communication equipment, metal detectors, x-ray screening equipment , vehicle search equipment, guard monitoring systems, etc. which are connected to the Security Control Centre (SCC), or other locations;
Ensures general supervision via alarm monitoring and patrolling of all protected premises;
Coordinate immediate intervention in the event of an incident/emergency situation at protected premises and provides assistance in the event of evacuation/ relocation;
Performs routine liaison with the local authorities;
Follows instructions as determined in the Delegation's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and in the security company's Standard Operating Procedures for IGS putting these documents at disposal of the contracting authority;
Responds to and comply with specific direct instructions given by the Head of Delegation (HoD) and Head of Missions (HoM) from EU Common Embassy Complex as well as other EU Delegation and EU Common Embassy Complex Missions security actors.
Responsible for production and regular revision of all SOPs and SOIs specific to GW
Responsible for implementation, maintenance and audit of PSC1 standards as required
Responsible for producing the EU DEL Weekly Situation Report to ROM by close of business every Sunday
Develop and maintain relationships between clients and third-party stakeholders especially the EUDEL management and diplomatic teams
Manage discipline across the EUDEL projects and all staff
Advise on and define job descriptions for EUDEL positions and project management team positions in conjunction with the ROM and as required
Responsible for the correct contracting and implementation of T&Cs for all local staff on the EUDEL contract
To check all payrolls on receipt, prior to submission to ROM
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines
