Job Location: Sur, Ash Sharqiyah South, Oman
Role Purpose
Manage and implement the overall Oman LNG security strategy including operational security, crisis management and security investigation to ensure maximum security to all company assets, resources, employees and visitors within the Oman LNG Corporate Security Affairs Framework.
Job role is to create a secure working environment with minimal risk to Company’s human and material assets at all company locations and marine assets with a view to minimizing economic losses and business disruption. Liaison with government and external security agencies to constantly improve the security systems as per legislation and best practices.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:
Manage and implement the overall Oman LNG security strategy including operational security, crisis management and security investigation to ensure maximum security to all company assets, resources, employees and visitors within the Oman LNG Corporate Security Affairs Framework.
Job role is to create a secure working environment with minimal risk to Company’s human and material assets at all company locations and marine assets with a view to minimizing economic losses and business disruption. Liaison with government and external security agencies to constantly improve the security systems as per legislation and best practices.
ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES:
Develop implement and maintain security strategies, policies and plans in all locations to ensure adequate protection of Company and third-party assets including Contractors.
Coordinate and liaise the activities of the OLNG crisis team with the activities of the Government Security Agencies, Armed Forces, Civil Defence and Royal Oman Police in ensuring that agreement on matters of security policy and emergency procedure is in place regularly to achieve a common/unified approach to security challenges.
Act as the focal point with government and external professionals for security information exchange on oil and gas industry security in Oman.
Provide security expertise to OLNG from design of security strategy to execution of activities, to ensure security risks and loss control initiatives are identified, assessed and managed effectively.
Manage the issuance of permits, entry cards in accordance with access control definitions, and maintain the records for safe entry to the entire OLNG premises, including plant restricted area.
Co-ordinate security enabling activities, and monitor events and intelligence leads, to ensure crime prevention. Lead the identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches.
Exchange intelligence/information with National and International security agencies, shareholders, Oil & Gas Industry, technical advisors and embassies and ensure proper coordination of activities especially during security emergencies
Support line functions, site security department and health, safety & environment committees on security related issues
Develop, Implement and Maintain OLNG Corporate Security Management System and to ensure companywide consistency and co-ordination in the application of the system.
Support in the preparation of the budget of the Corporate Security Affairs unit.
Develop, implement, maintain the corporate security risk assessment plans for OLNG to ensure they are effective to mitigate any emergency situation.
Develop, review and maintain the security procedures and work instructions as per best practices and ensure these practices are followed across the organisation.
Ensure all security related events are reported, investigated with learning shared to to prevent recurrence.
Support the preparation, evaluation and award of security contracts for corporate security department. Provide necessary guidance and advice to other departments and contractors in promoting and adhering to corporate security policies and standards.
Conduct audit/inspection to verify the effective controls to manage Security related threats
Conduct security awareness such as "Campaign Programs" for OLNG staff, contractors and families.
Ensure regular training, drills and exercises for OLNG security guards to improve the response to security threats.
Ensure proper monitoring and reporting of Corporate Security performance and disseminate such information including Security newsletters to staff and contractors to increase their Security awareness.
Ensure that Oman LNG Terminal/ Port comply with ISPS Code, International Maritime Organisation and Oman Government requirement with regard to Security aspects in time.
Support staff to ensure the minimum competency levels are met or exceeded by a yearly review of their training needs, on the job exposure, cross postings, preparation of a personal development plan and regular feedback sessions including mid-year and final year appraisal.

University Degree or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of experience in security role the port or Oil &Gas industry, petrochemicals or Security Agencies.
