Responsibilities
Reports directly to the Operations Manager with a functional line for day-to-day operations to the contractor security Manager
Ensure all rotations/leave and sick patterns are implemented.
Assess and supervise any local security arrangements.
Ensure that the shifts conduct their duty in a professional manner.
Develop, oversee and implement Guard Force orders for all static locations.
Develop and maintain reporting procedures for security incidents.
Assist with the management of site security and safety systems and identification of any deficiencies.
Implement SOPs to include Actions-On procedures
Assist during emergencies and coordinate security response
Must be available at 15 mins' notice to move
Provide situation and incident reports as required by the contractor
Supervise search procedures.
Escort VIPS when requested
Resolve access control issues and policies
Conduct plan and record lessons identified from security exercises
Qualifications

Qualifications
Individuals should have been members of an internationally regarded Military/Police force, such as the French Foreign Legion, or the British or US Army.
Completed a minimum of 10 years of cumulative military, armed police, or PSC service.
Working knowledge of the Mining Industry in a West African operational environment.
MIRA or FPOS-I in-date certification and SIA license are pluses.
Capable of leading and commanding the respect of a large number of employees.
Possess the necessary skill set and attitude in the day-to-day management of a mixed guard force.
Must be and can ensure discipline and the maintenance of high standards of performance.
Possess tact and sound judgment.
Attendance of an internationally regarded Non-Commissioned Officer course, such as the French Foreign Legion or British Army Platoon Sergeants Battle Course, is desirable.
To be fluent in both French and English
