The Team Leader (TL) will work on a rotational basis with six weeks in country ‘on’ rotation and 6 weeks at home ‘off’ rotation. We are looking for potential candidates for prospective roles that may become live in April 2023. We are looking for four TL’s to join Control Risks.
The TL has a significant impact on how potential clients assess Control Risks’ capabilities. The TL is responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of team presentation and capability to the client, and will coordinate the direction and management of the team. The TL ensures that the team meets all operational and training standards with assistance from the training team and that the team is fully compliant with Control Risks’ standard operating procedures (SOPs) and doctrine at all times. The TL assists in mission planning for all tasks as detailed by the Control Risks Libya / Programme management. The TL is responsible for the professional delivery of operational briefs to both the team and clients when required.

Role tasks and responsibilities
Responsible for the overall secure management of the close protection team.
Plan and prepare individual movements prior to departure.
Direct and coordinate actions during movements.
Assure the protection of the individual from a potential threat.
Act as a first responder to any emergencies or suspicious activities.
Report all incidents, accidents, or emergencies as required.
Coordinates all related security requirements.
Manage and direct the closer protection team.
Monitors air, land, and sea emergency evacuation capability.
Conducts evacuation exercises.
Coordinates with local authorities during close protection operations.
Requirements
Solid background of military, police or security specialization, maritime.
A minimum of 8 years of responsible experience in close protection with a national, private, or international security organization.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in driving the boat.
Experience working in close protection in Libya is desirable.
Experience on an international level in a conflict or high-risk level duty station.
Competent in using communication equipment, surveillance equipment, safety/security equipment, security equipment and PPE.
Experience and proficiency in the use of weapons, surveillance equipment, and vehicles
Basic Advanced Life/Cardiac Support (ALS or ACLS) certification or equivalent.
Fluent in English.
Fluent in French.
First Aid Responder Certification.
Valid Drivers Licenses in Libya.
Restricted telephony certificate
